What's hot in running this week!?

hey fam, it’s friday and i found some time to write again. As Cole just mentioned, it’s not that easy to take the time every week. From the frequency of HIGHEST FIVE you probably guessed it already… but it’s one of my New Year’s resolutions, so here we go. It’s interesting to see how ACG also kinda dominated my feed this week - with the radical Airflow, an all-black outfit for Jannick Sinner and now the Mental Athletic (Ultra) race aka installation. Is there a discussion? Tbh i waited for the naturalists to complain it’s an indoor course and kinda stupid. Honestly: it’s kinda stupid but it looks awesome. Kudos to MA and again to Amsterdam Berlin, the agency building the course. And obviously to every runner competing. I guess the 100k is still going!?

I’ll do a little write-up about ACG in the next 1-2 weeks but that’s it for now. I am desperately waiting for the new Speedgoat 7, that mf should be arriving at my door any minute. I miss trail running, while training for Semi de Paris and London Marathon. Enjoy what else was hot this week!

1 HOKA X TSP CIELO X1 3.0

Didn’t see this coming but ffs it’s a black/white colorway of Hoka’s new supershoe and it’s reworked by TSP and comes with a custommade Cimoro Dyneema (?) bag! Only 75 pairs available. Meanwhile, i’m doing fast runs with the neon volt colorway.

2 adidas SL72 SFTM

Song For The Mute haven’t missed in all of their adidas collabs so far and the SL72/Evo is no exception. Beautiful concept, very nice collab.

3 Satisfy TheRocker Jet Black

Here we go: Satisfy finally officially announced the release of the (almost) all-black colorway of TheRocker. Stay tuned, coming soon.

4 New Balance RC run jacket

Some time ago, New Balance released the RC short and now they’ve just released the RC jacket. Let me be honest, one of the writers of the newsletter is not the biggest fan of neon/volt, but there’s a very nice beige/off-white colorway of the jacket as well.

Also, they’ve just released the SC Trail v2 and i haven’t noticed until it was posted in the insta story of Tobi Energy this morning… Available here.

5 Saucony The Maze

Saucony’s community relay The Maze took place last weekend to celebrate the release of the new Endorphin Azura. Gotta say, car parks always kinda look nice as a race location! More here.
