Hi fam,
here’s a disclaimer. It’s my birthday and i wanna keep it short today - but maybe i can get in a short TRE recap next week hopefully! Seen a lot of newness, especially from Hoka, but also from some of the other brands…
This week i - again - got my wednesday trail loop in, not only completing the 2000km for 2024 but also the 30.000 meters of altitude. Feels good to (without real mountains) get them in somehow. Also first snow and temperatures sub zero were met, welcome to that. Will definitely recap running the first 50km with my Raide Hydration belt in the next newsletter as i got some stuff to talk about!
Now i’m off into my weekend, hoping to somehow finish the 50k for this week, maybe as a recovery run after having to many beers later.
Have a good one and thanks for reading! Next one will have some more substance again. Cheeers!
1 adidas Running x Hermanos Kourmoni
*Run with the Mind* is the title of a clean and very understated collab. I love that adidas, whilst not toooo active on that collab train is doing this rather small collab with the Mexicans for a while now. Keep it coming and maybe even bring it to EU?
2 New Balance x Ganni
Not the first collab between these two but (as far as i know) the first one that’s runnable? I like how NB at times blends the world of sports and “real” fashion (what’s real anyways!?) and this one actually is quite wearable, compared to earlier ones. love the poster btw.
3 Saysky Flowpack Hydration
Saysky just released their first running vest and imho it’s a good one. Love the clean but somehow patchworky look and the different color shemes. The Danes are not stopping and somehow manage to grow out of the “indie” thing while not loosing their “thing”!
4 adidas Running Adizero EVO SL
Ok, two adidas posts in one newsletters? Well, that’s not a first but we don’t have it every time. The Adizero Evo SL caught my eye as a (more or less) lower budget raceday shoe and faster training variant without carbon plate. It’s superlight, bumpy af and gives you a damn good feeling at faster paces. Release on Dec 12th for 150€. Good investment!
5 HOKA x Dover Street Market Paris
Well, that’s a cool editorial Romain Bourven shot for Hoka and DSM Paris last week around the Paris 10k race. Quite original.
6 Satisfy “The Rocker”
I don’t wanna hype Satisfy over and over but yeah, they are making the big steps right now. This week they not only appointed a CEO, they are also the The Running Event with a biiiig booth, presenting “The Rocker”, their first own trailrunning shoe and it’s getting me more and more excited to still not having seen that one. Come on now, haha
Happy birthday and yes to the Saysky vest. It is also *very functional
The adidas adizero evo sl look so slick.
